While enrolled in the Master of Education in Higher Education program with an emphasis on Administration in Higher Ed. at Penn State University, I’m seeking to build expertise in an array of higher-education related topics including, but not limited to: communication, diversity issues, financial management, human relations, student development, student activities, financial aid process, admissions, academic advising, residence life, service and leadership, orientation, multicultural programs, student conduct, fraternity and/or sorority life, assessment, and student personnel administration. All of these topics apply directly to academics at colleges’/universities’ campuses. I wish to engage in a more comprehensive academic program in higher education, as well as to be able to participate effectively in personnel management of resources and facilities. My main goal is to help build opportunities by participating in a qualified professional and provide guidance to a larger spectrum of the college student body.

I joined NASPA (National Association for Student Personnel Administrators) to enhance the development of my professional career, participate in seminars/conferences and expand my career networking. I also established a career plan and program of study in their Master of Education Higher Education at Penn State.

I chose Penn State University (PSU) because I wanted to fit a quality education in my life schedule because it offered a flexible and online program. Furthering my education with a Master of Education degree offered by Penn State University will transform my career and personal achievement. It will also provide me the tools to advance into a mid-level college/university administrator ‘s position so as to become a successful educator with a variety of administrative functions.
